TOP 5 KNITWEAR STYLES YOU NEED TO WEAR - WINTER 2021
What is Winter without knits?
Winter is very much here, especially in Melbourne and we are forecasting icy cold winds and rainy days ahead. Let’s not forget the extra layers that we will find ourselves diving straight into, head first!
Thankfully we have the beauty of layering up in beautiful winter wear to snug into while maintaining our elegance.
If you are waking up every day wondering, what am I going to wear today that will keep me warm, other than a hoodie and trackies, then this shopping guide is especially for you!
I have selected not only the trendiest knits you need for this season but also ones that I am confident will take you through to next Winter. A mix to suit everyone’s pockets and style.
HIGH NECK.
How cosy are high necklines? These styles are the perfect “casual chic” knit you can opt for every day! Warm, snug and stylish. Make sure you pop on some lipstick to suit your mood.
STYLE NOTE: If you are not used to the feeling of knitwear being wrapped around your neck, start with the collared necklines. Giving you the choice to unzip or zip up!
2. V-NECK KNITS.
Who doesn't love a deep V? Now, these knits need a good bra! You can play with the sleeves by cinching them up for an effortless look or even opt for a french tuck to offer some shape.
STYLE NOTE: If your chest feels too bare, try under-layering with a beautiful lace cami.
3. VESTS.
One of my favourites for the season, I still have not had the chance to get one for myself, but I sure will! Let’s do that together! :)
I adore vests because they can really polish your day look without having to work hard to achieve that “effortless look”.
Underlayer with a blouse, button-up shirt or even another knit, such as a fitted turtle neck. Like this beautiful Aje knit.
STYLE NOTE: Pair your vest with your jeans, pants, skirts and even above the right dress, elegant indeed!
4. KNIT DRESS.
We have been seeing knit dresses over the last few Winter’s and seasons actually, in Summer we are seeing crochet knit dresses and now, the knit dress continues…
Yes, a knit dress CAN go wrong if you are not careful about how you wear them and if you select the right cut for you or not. They can emphasise the wrong places. Make sure you tuck yourself in under some great SPANX to smooth out bumps.
Otherwise, I cannot express the importance of seamless g-strings enough! Grab yourself some, please!

5. PONCHO.
A poncho can certainly take you places, through your imagination and also from lunches’ to dinners.
Other than adding warmth to your body and your look, Poncho’s have an elegant sway about them. Allowing you to create the look you want.
These ponchos can elevate any winter look. Pair them above your fitted high neck knits or even above your knitted dress! High boots for glamour and ankle boots for edge.
STYLE NOTE: Add brooches on the necklines for a touch of old Hollywood glamour.
